How visitors subscribe
They open the collection page.
They select the add-to-calendar button under the events.
They pick their calendar: Google, Apple, Office 365, Outlook (online) or iCal.
They confirm the subscription in their calendar app.
The button is shown when Show 'Add to calendar' button is on in the collection's settings. It also works before the collection has any upcoming events, so people can sign up early.
Ask for name and email first
Switch on Require registration in the collection's settings. Visitors then fill in their name and email address and select Subscribe to calendar to subscribe.
Count your subscribers
Someone counts as an active subscriber from the moment they subscribe to the collection. They stay active as long as their calendar keeps syncing the collection. If their calendar has not synced for 7 days, they no longer count.
The collection page in your dashboard shows Active subscribers. Each plan has a limit per collection:
Free: 10
Startup: 100
Business: 10,000
Subscribe or add one event
| Subscribe to the collection | Add a single event |
New events | Appear automatically | Not included |
Changes to an event | Appear automatically | Do not reach the calendar |
Best for | Series, programs, schedules | One-off events |
Calendar apps refresh subscribed calendars on their own schedule. New and changed events usually appear within 12 hours, and at most within 24 hours. In Apple Calendar, subscribers can set how often it refreshes. If changes still do not show up after a day, remove the subscription and subscribe again.
You do not need a collection to share a single event. Share the event page link instead; see Share your event.
Remove a subscriber
You cannot end someone's subscription yourself, for example when a member leaves your club. If you need that, create a new collection for each period, such as each season, and share it only with current members.
