Create and edit RSVP forms

A form holds the questions visitors answer when they RSVP. You build a form once and reuse it on as many events as you like. Every account starts with Default RSVP Form: name, email and the answers Yes / Maybe / No.

The Forms page

Forms lists each form with its fields, its RSVP answers, and the number of Registrations, Past events and Upcoming events that use it. Select a form to edit it.

Build the form

  1. Enter a Form Name.

  2. Choose the RSVP options (see below).

  3. Select Add Field for each extra question. Give it a Label, pick a Type, and choose whether it is Required. Under Placeholder and Help Text you can add example text inside the field and a hint below it.

  4. Select Add Field in the panel to add the question to the form.

  5. Use the arrows to change the order, or the bin icon to remove a field.

  6. Select Save.

The Form preview on the right shows the form as visitors will see it. While the Add field panel is open, Save is unavailable; add the field or close the panel first.

RSVP options

The RSVP options set which answer buttons visitors see above the form.

  • Yes / Maybe / No: visitors pick one of three answers. Use it when you also want to know who is still unsure, for example for a party or meetup.

  • Yes / No: visitors pick one of two answers. Use it when you need a firm count, for example for catering or a limited number of seats.

  • Disabled: there are no answer buttons; visitors only fill in the form and send it. Use it for a plain sign-up, such as a webinar registration or a waiting list.

With Yes / Maybe / No or Yes / No, each registration shows the answer under Status on the Event registrations page, and the RSVP details panel counts the answers. Max. number of attendees on the event counts the people who said Yes.

Whatever they answer, visitors can add the event to their calendar afterwards. They can change their answer later through the update link in their confirmation email.

Field types

  • Text (short): A company name or other one-line answer.

  • Text (long): Questions or comments.

  • Options (dropdown): One choice from a list. Add each choice with Add Option.

  • Options (multiple choice): Several choices from a list.

  • Email: An email address.

  • Phone number: A phone number.

  • Number: A number, such as the size of a group.

  • Repeatable group: Fields a visitor can fill in more than once, for example once per guest. Set Minimum repeats and Maximum repeats, then add fields with Add field to group.

Every form starts with Name and Email, both required. Field labels are shown exactly as you type them, so write them in your visitors' language.
