I received a CalendarLink link

Someone shared an event with you through CalendarLink. Here is how to add it to your calendar, RSVP, or remove it again. You do not need an account.

CalendarLink is a tool that organizers use to share their events. The event itself is made and managed by the organizer, shown under "Organized by" on the page. CalendarLink cannot change the event, your registration or the details on the page. For questions about the event, contact the organizer.

Add the event to your calendar

  1. Open the link.

  2. Select Add to calendar.

  3. Pick your calendar: Google, Apple, Office 365, Outlook (online), Outlook, MS Teams, iCal or Yahoo.

Online calendars open in your browser, where you may need to log in. Use Outlook if you use Outlook on your computer: it downloads a file that opens in the desktop app.

The page shows the time in your own timezone. To see it in another timezone, use the selector at the top right.

RSVP

If the organizer asks for an RSVP, the page shows answer buttons such as Yes, Maybe and No.

  1. Pick your answer.

  2. Fill in the form. Required fields have a red asterisk.

  3. Submit the form, then select Add to calendar if you want the event in your calendar.

Your answer and details go to the organizer. If the page says "Registration for this event is no longer possible", the event is full or the deadline has passed.

Subscribe to all events

A link to a collection page shows a list of events. With the subscribe button under the events, you add all of them at once. New and changed events then appear in your calendar automatically, usually within 12 hours. See Subscribe to a collection.

The details changed

If you added a single event, your calendar keeps the details from the moment you added it. Open the link again to see the current details, and add the event again if the date or time changed. Online meeting links usually forward to the current link by themselves.

Remove the event or unsubscribe

  • A single event: delete it in your calendar app, like any other appointment.

  • A subscription in Google Calendar: open Settings, select the calendar under Other calendars and choose Unsubscribe.

  • A subscription in Apple Calendar: on a Mac, right-click the calendar and choose Unsubscribe. On an iPhone, open Calendars, tap the info button next to the calendar and choose Delete Calendar.

  • A subscription in Outlook: right-click the calendar and choose Remove or Delete calendar.

Change or delete your registration

Contact the organizer. They can change or remove your registration. CalendarLink cannot do this for them, because the registration belongs to the organizer's event.

The link does not work

A "page not found" page means the organizer deleted the event, or the link was cut off when it was copied. Ask the organizer for the link again.
